I have been a member of Sydney Hog since 2013 when I purchased my first Harley from our dealer. I am a Golf Professional so that's how I got my nick name (The Pro).

My first Harley was a Fat Boy Lo. I've changed it a lot to make it my own as everyone knows!

Recently I have added to my stable a Street Glide CVO, which I use for longer rides.

I love being a member of this Chapter because we are all here to enjoy ourselves and to enjoy our rides with fellow members.

I have held different positions in the past. I have been the Quartermaster, the Sheriff and I am a current Road Captain.

I am very proud to be the current Director of this fine Chapter and I look forward to the future.

I hope to see you on a ride soon!

Fred started with Sydney Chapter from its beginning. In September 2006 he took a proposal to Greg Duncan the owner of the then newly formed Trivett H-D. The proposal was accepted and Fred became the Founding Director of the Chapter for the first three and a half years.

After his role as Chapter Director he became the Assistant Director for the following three years and in the first 2 years of that position also became Regional Director HOG NSW/ACT. Fred held this position for the maximum ‘allowed’ period of 3 years.. until September 2015.

Fred has been a Road Captain in the Chapter since 2006 and in 2105 served as the Chapter’s Activities Officer.

Fred has clocked up close to 200,000k and over 400 ride days with Sydney Chapter over the past 10 years on his 100th Anniversary Heritage Softail (sadly lost), his 2004 Heritage Softail or his Road King Classic.

When everything’s coming your way... you’re in the wrong lane!

His youth started to be miss-spent when he discovered motorcycles, first a 125cc James, then moving through Royal Enfields, AJS, even a scooter when he had a girlfriend who wanted him to wear proper clothes when he took her out (she didn’t last long, nor did the scooter – Geoff), then to the love of his life, a 650cc Triumph Thunderbird which he stripped down and converted to Bonneville specs (wonderful, wished I hadn’t sold it – Geoff).

After many bikeless years having come to Australia, he finally fell in love with Harleys, first an FLHS (the forerunner of the Road Kings) in 1992 when he joined HOG and hasn’t looked back, and is currently on his second Road King.

He has done a lot of riding in Dubai and Oman with the Chapters there (great roads outside the “CBD”), and trips to the US (once shipping his own bike out, but after using HOG’s Fly Ride – a great service); loves the friendships in, and the riding with, the Chapter.

A 1963 Triumph Daytona is what Hana road in NZ, she said it was a mongrel of a bike but she got to learn some great skills.  In 2015 Hana purchased her 1st Harley an IRON 883 and joined the Sydney HOG Chapter in April and is fully hooked.

She is passionate to encourage new lady riders as there are many who have dreamed to ride a Harley, she was once one!!  She loves riding with her sister Tira who was the 1st Street 500 Member. Most memorable ride was with Di Drummond (current LOH Wellington NZ) in Cape Town South Africa.

Hana managers her own business working in the Injury Management Space, she gets to travel around NSW on her Harley which is a perk within the job.

Hana loves people in general and is looking forward to adding value to LOH and to the Sydney HOG Chapter.

Mark first threw a leg over a dirt bike in his late teens and thrashed through the local bush with school mates. He got a bike licence shortly after and has ridden different types of bikes on and off ever since.

He is on his second Harley, an '09 Fatboy and that is a "keeper". He rides with Sydney HOG often and loves heading to the USA to ride long distances on big Harley tourers.

"Life behind bars" is not a sentence. On a Harley, it's a reward!

I got my licence in 1981 in Perth WA, and had a couple of old changers before buying my first decent bike, a new Kawasaki Z750 which I had for a number of years before the kids kept me off it and so decided to sell it.

After a hiatus of about a couple of years I bought an old classic 1976 Kawasaki which I stripped down and spent a couple of years rebuilding and then the company I worked for transferred me to Sydney in 2001, but would only pay for the car to be transported so that went to a new home.

I had an issue with the amount of traffic on Sydney roads compared to Perth so I kept on putting off buying a bike untill I was offered a '98 Ducati Monster in 2010. It took me a couple of years to realise my hips weren't meant for sports bikes anymore and at Easter 2012 while on a weekend away up the Hunter Valley with a mate who rode a Rocker, my wife, after a day touring the wineries suggested I go buy a Harley. Out came the iPad and after going through all the specs and pricing and the following Saturday, I was at Trivett Harley-Davidson and bought a new Pearl White Heritage Softail.

6 weeks later I picked up my new bike, joined Sydney Chapter and have enjoyed every moment on my bike, "The Mistress" which my wife named it. The best part about Sydney Chapter is the great bunch of people who I now call my friends.

I was first introduced to Harley’s when my husband bought his beloved 2008 Fat Boy. I was immediately attracted the blue colour of the bike.

After a year of being a pillion and member Associate LOH member, and with encouragement from the then LOH representative I decided it was time to get my licence. I commenced on a Honda CBF 250 which was also blue, my favourite colour.

I then decided to upgrade and join the Harley “team”. I purchased a pre owned red 1200 Custom Sporster and began my riding within the group. I was hooked.

I eventually became bored with just 5 gears so embarked on the painstaking mission of trying to find something that fitted me. I went to every demo day and rode all sorts of bikes. I eventually settled on my trusty steed a black 2014 Fat Boy. I have now managed to clock over close to 70000 km and time permitting try to participate in as many rides as I can with my HOG friends.
